Integrated Physician and Nursing Charts
In addition to its superior tracking capabilities NWS/EDS also provides
charting functionality. Utilization of this feature alone, even without considering
all other system benefits, will provide incredibly fast return on investment. The
solution includes a set of complaint-driven physician and nursing paper templates
which can be automatically scanned and attached to a patient record.
Electronic Attributes
All charting can be completed electronically using the Electronic Visit Record feature.
It provides multiple benefits such as configurable data sharing (the information
entered by a nurse can be reused by a doctor without reentering), data validation
(only the correct data can be stored), and a completely searchable medical record.
Rx Content and Prescription Writing
Rx Content and Prescription Writing are powered by Thomson/Micromedex content
and conveniently integrated into the system including unique integration with MD
Templates, RN Templates, and Medications Reconciliation. Each prescription is generated
with a drug reference sheet and automatically printed upon discharge. All prescription
forms are generated in accordance to the federal and state regulations and on special
paper with security features. Interactions verification is automatically performed
on all ordered/prescribed medications.
Discharge Instructions and Other Forms
A complete set of discharge instructions is available with the system. Other forms
are available as templates or can be quickly and easily modeled after existing paper
forms.
